Where Your Dollars Go

Cyclist on a handbike

Proceeds from CIM help purchase cycling equipment (such as customized handbikes like this one) and fund the cycling programs at our Centres.

Beit Halochem is a place where our disabled members can regain dignity and quality of life. Caring for Israel’s disabled veterans and giving them the help they need is our top priority.

State-of-the-art Beit Halochem Centres in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Beer Sheva, and Nahariya offer many rehabilitative services, including therapeutic devices, specialized equipment, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, sport coaching, and cultural activities.

Cycling has become one of the most popular sports offered at our Beit Halochem Centres, enabling those without limbs and sight the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Proceeds from CIM will be used primarily towards purchasing cycling equipment (customized handbikes, single, and tandem bicycles) and funding the Centres’ cycling programs.

The 11th annual ride will take place October 22-26, 2018 in Israel.  Cyclists will ride 50-130 kilometres each day alongside Israel’s disabled war veterans and victims of terror. Each international cyclist is required to pay a registration fee and fundraise at least $3,000. The registration fee covers five nights double accommodations, all meals, and snacks during the ride, as well as five fully supported routes.

Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel is a Canadian charity (registration #11877 9081 RR0001). Learn more about Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel.

“It was an emotional trip for me. I was just glad to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause and to be able to see firsthand the results.” – Dr. Marty Cole, Calgary
